Re: $10 NL Is this floating or cbetting
The flop raise is somewhat reckless, but I'd imagine the idea is that BB's 1/3 pot donkbet sort of looks like a weak "tester" bet into the PFR and the field, and it's possible he's bet-folding JT or K6s or something.
But it turns out he wasn't bet-folding, the turn card sucks (the most obvious flop draw just got there and hands like JT just picked up "outs" and an additional reason to call), and I would probably just give up. |

nothing wrong with folding on the flop once you don't hit a set. BB is leading into 4 people. There is no reason to continue in the hand. fold and move on.

You didnt initiate raising preflop so fold to his aggression on flop.

Re: $10 NL Is this floating or cbetting
i'm not sure i really understand this thread. are you looking for comments on the hand, or asking about terminology?
this isn't floating or cbetting. floating is when you call the lead bettor's cbet with a marginal hand or air, betting that he missed the flop or planning on taking control of the hand on a later street. cbetting is betting the flop after raising preflop. |
