Default NL600 HU - I just hate retards who calls 4bets

Villain is LAG in a bad way. Likes to 3bet small. Calls with trash OOP. So far he's been pounding away and I've been letting him since he pays off every time I catch something. I'm up a couple of BIs and he's probably a bit tilted.

Earlier on he called a 4bet and c/f the flop (eff stacks 800).

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $3/$6
2 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
Hero: $2291.50
BB: $492.50

Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $18</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $42</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $165</font>, BB calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($330, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB is all-in $342.5</font>, Hero

Edit: Action is a bit messed up. I raised to 150 pre.

call, given history i guess you could slowroll but he prob has outs so its ill-advised IMO

Really Doc? I hate using cliche responses but is this not a time where you should wait for a better spot? I mean I've called with worse and folded better but I really get the feeling this guy may have something here given history. I'm sure he's just waiting for a spot like this to catch a big flop and that certainly is a dangerous flop for someone who will call light with a variety of holdings.

Am I losing a thin bit of value by folding this in these types of situations (e.g. against said villain...game flow...meta etc etc)?

I don't know...if he's a bag LAG...I wait and get him the next time.

I'm interested to hear how others feel about situations like this because they are frequent.

i think its closer if he has a full stack, but hes ~80bbs deep and on tilt and i see frutrated stop and go type [censored] all the time here tbh

Good point and I would call a little more easily if the villain had less than 50 BBs. I suppose his 57BB push isn't much more but I'd still have to think hard about this one and find a damn good reason to make a call...

What do you reckon the villain is showing up with on average here? I mean...what hands are you putting him on to justify making that call?

You only need a very small percentage of his range to be air to make this call. If he'd do this with, say, AT+ and KQ, you can add in virtually every hand he might have that actually hit this flop (basically 22-TT + SC's) and you've still got odds to call. If he'd actually c/c with a hand that hit, you can discount those hands a bit more and you're looking even better.

Interesting. That makes this a snap call I guess.

Cool_Hwip, if you want to know whether you should call here, just download pokerstove and figure it out for yourself. It is an important excercise.
