Re: $200 Sit N Go Question #3
There is no prestige to winning a SnG, so tossing the kings and taking the bird in the hand (particularly when you're very short) has its merits.
Compelling answers either way. For me, with kings, I would go in and hate it. Someone has Jacks or queens- maybe 10's... someone has A/K or A/Q, maybe a couple players with strong'ish aces or larger PP's. If the aces are there, that's poker. If not, I'm getting my money in good. That's all you can do. The only exception to this is if the 3rd player to act is an absolute Gibraltar where I can reasonably deduce the aces might be there. And even then, short stacked in a 4 handed SnG, getting off kings is way, way hard. |

Re: $200 Sit N Go Question #3
I had something similar (well, not really) happen once -- Let's just say, it's a lot easier to fold with Q8o.
I'd hate to fold the kings, but my gut tells me it's the right move mathmatically. |

Re: $200 Sit N Go Question #3
easy fold. +ev to fold because you are virtually garanteed 3rd place. kings also suck multiway. another aspect to mention is that there is a very good chance someone has aces to be going in in that situation knowing you are short stack.

OK, change the scenario from kings to aces.
Fold for the money or put in? |

Re: $200 Sit N Go Question #3
i'm pretty sure if this is a standard 5 - 3 - 2 structure tournament that this is a clear fold with AA. i'm not looking it up though.

Re: $200 Sit N Go Question #3
Yeh, I've thought about it a bit more and I can't say with any certainty what I would do. It depends on what mood I'm in that day and how much gamble I have going on at that particular moment.
