Default JJ vs a reg - i usually dont like folding overpairs...

<font color="blue"> villain is an ABC tag regular, probabbly a maraginal winner. he runs ~18/14 over 400+ hands.
he just sat down at 3 of my tables and this is the first time hes 3bet this session. havent seen him get out of line in the past, and he doesnt seem to be the type to double barrel or 3 bet light. he c-bets a ton but i havent seen him showdown any hand where he fired the turn without the goods (fwiw postflop AF: flop = 7, turn = 1.1, river = .67)

villain knows im a reg, but prob thinks im much LAGier than i actually am</font>

I don't like folding overpairs either, but it sounds like you've got a pretty good read on him. He certainly looks willing to stack off here, so I'd just let it go.

PF I'm okay with, because we can't just roll over and fold when we get 3-bet. The problem is this is practically the worst hand to face an ABC TAG PF 3-bettor, because the hand is just good enough to string you along, and still bad enough to be destroyed by most of what he's 3-betting.

What I really don't like is the flop... because we seem to have no plan.

his plan is to call the standard cbet, knowing that this particular villain will more than likely shut down if he doesn't have hero beat here, villain fired again, and with that low turn aggression factor, a fold here looks fine.
