Default 10nl: top 2 against passive

Can't remember exact stats but along the lines of 30/0/0.5 Very passive. I've had a few good hands and been playing aggressively, the other 2 players have not really adjusted to 3 handed play whilst we wait for the table to fill up again

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10
3 players

Stack sizes:
hero: $10.70

Pre-flop: (3 players) hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
hero raises to $0.35, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($0.8, 2 players)
SB checks, hero bets $0.5, SB calls.

I'd check turn. flop wasn't very drawy to begin with and there are lots of hands you can extract $ with on river. as played I probably call and re-eval on river.

Call turn.

If checked to on river, bet, if he bets, call.

Hands that beat you, JJ, 66, 88, 44, 57
Hands you beat, J6, J4, 68, 64, 84

Against these types of players, I find they typically go for that big min-raise on the flop with their made hands; thus, his range does include JJ, 66 and 88, but not a huge %.

44 and 57 are a big part of flop calling, turn min-raising range, as are turned two pair hands. So, I'd say it's a situation where you are way ahead or way behind.

Go with the line I first started the post with, I think that will save you the most when behind, win you the most when ahead.

You don't think top pair is part of his range? AJ, KJ, QJ and worse? I know most people would re-raise them pre-flop but probably not this guy.

I think he would have min-raised you on the flop with top pair. Although he may have waited until the turn. I'd say top pair with a good kicker constitute a small % against a super passive. The turn card is the card that likely hit him.

Fair enough. I probably thought top pair was too much part of his range. I shoved, he had 88. I thought it was a cooler at the time but maybe I didn't give him enough credit.
