I want to be able to play poker online using the internet provided by my University. How can I go about doing this? They obviously block it, but I need to be able to play.

Any advice?

I have never heard of a university blocking poker.

Are you trying to play poker on the university computer lab or are you trying to play poker on your own computer with your university as your ISP?

One possibility is that they have blocked the ports that the client uses. If that is the case you need to find out what port your site uses then convince the university to open the port for you.

Find out who the administrator is who is in charge of the firewall.
Bribe him (or her) Cash, pizza or blowjobs (depending on your gender and administrators gender and orientation) may be effective.
