4.5 combos we lose to (3 TT, 1 AJ, .5 55)

[/ QUOTE ]
why are you discounting 55 by almost 85%?

[ QUOTE ]
and 10 combos we are beating (6 AT, 3 A5, 1 AQ/other random hands)

[/ QUOTE ]
you need to discount Ax when he bets the river. his kicker no longer plays and hero obviously has an ace.

i bet/call the river here. my range for villain before river action:
AT undiscounted (6)
A5 discounted by half based on preflop (3)
TT undiscounted (3)
55 undiscounted (3)

so ahead of 9 and behind 6. against this range we should bet. when he bets the river i further discount AT and A5 because even many tards nowadays realize when their hands get counterfeited. if you check the river you should just call.

river raise does nothing for you here. if there was value in the raise then you should have done it on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]
i don't know if you misread the board but hero now beats AT and A5. however i also believe hero should not checkraise here simply because villain will check behind these hands some % of the time against the obvious strong ace.

yeah but I was referring to Miles ranges. He didn't mention it, just wondered if and why it didn't play.

Meh on the river c/r. Any sane (and a good deal of retarded) villains are checking behind AT/A5, so you make no bets when has a conterfieted two pair, but lose two when he has a boat. Just b/c.

yeah, like i said earlier this is essentially the key point of the hand which defines the ratio of c/r to b/c...

[ QUOTE ]
if we think he is likely to check behind AT and A5 then sure a donk is fine, but if he is betting any Ax then we pretty much have to c/r

[/ QUOTE ]

in my experience at this level i think most ppl are betting AT/A5 on the river because 'they has an ace and there is an ace on the board', but i probably have memory bias....

you are probably rite and i like a b/c if we can assume that point about our vil
