Easy call. He's getting a clear 2-1 on his money (66 for 33 more) and his equity should be around 45%. He needs 33% to break even on the call (win 33 out of 99 times). He's going to win about 45 out of 100 times.
This is elemental stuff and should be second nature. |

Flop call is okay but I'd just call preflop, or even fold against some villains.

Trivial call on the flop.
Why does having position make you more inclined to 3-bet pre than flat-call? If you were in the BB, would you be more likely to call? |

Re: I got a big draw, but facing AI...Standard call? NL50
In the BB i would fold. I just prefer to play a big pot in position because then I can probs take it down. Whereas If I call then I only really continue the hand if I hit.

I don`t like the 3bet vs an unknown. Vs an aggressive pf 3bet is ok. Depends on villain, but I often just flatcall with AJs/AQs/AK or AKs in position.

[ QUOTE ]
I don't think the draw is too big...you have 13 outs the way I see it, action on his part makes it seem like a naked A won't help. I toss to the all in. the odds the pot is laying you to call is 44.55/66.55 or 66%, you are no where near a 66% fav here. [/ QUOTE ] Hero needs to call 33.5 and the pot is 66.25. This means hero is getting just under 2 to 1. With 2 to 1 he could call with 9 outs. Getting two to 1 here with 12 outs to the nuts is a very easy call. Edit: Your problem was that you are having hero put money into the pot that hero does not have. Hero has a shorter stack than villian does so not all the money that villian bet will actually go in. |

Easy call. He's getting a clear 1.66-1 on his money (56 for 33 more) and his equity should be around 45%. He needs 37.5% to break even on the call (win 33 out of 88 times). He's going to win about 45 out of 100 times. This is elemental stuff and should be second nature. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: I got a big draw, but facing AI...Standard call? NL50
If you bet flop you call a shove. Plain and simple. If you don't want to face a shove than check behind. There are arguments for checking behind here since this flop hit villains range hard. But getting all in here is fine.
Preflop reraise against an unknown is the only thing questionable. I prefer to have a read before 3 betting here. I think it's pretty close though. |
