Suggestions for good wedding songs

I need some ideas on good songs to use at the reception. The one i need the most is for the mother/son dance, thats completly up to me. The other song we need is for the entire wedding party dance. My fiance thinks we should use some corny song about friends, like the friends theme for example, she thinks it would be weird to make them dance to some love song when they aren't choosing their dance partner. I don't think it matters, so I'm trying to find something in the middle. I love 80's artists, espcially hair bands and power ballads, so songs fitting into those genres would be great. Please help me with those two songs.

No chance in hell i'm letting her convince me to use the friends theme. I'm blanking on songs the would be suitable for a dance with my mom, and the friends dance. We need to send in the dj sheet and i'm pressed for time, i figured oot could help
