Its borderline. I agree its just murder with one target and one victim, but when the method does indeed cause "terror", like a bomb in a public place, I think its reasonable to label it a terrorist attack.

And yes, what "should be done" about it is a police investigation hopefully leading to an arrest. No, I am not sheeple.

Praytell, what about exploding a bomb in a public place and killing people doesn't fit the definition of a terrorist attack?

[/ QUOTE ]
So which part of this is a terrorist attack? That a bomb was chosen as a weapon instead of a gun or knife? That it happened in a public place? Get a grip.

Not everything bad that happens is a "terrorist attack". The original WTC bomb was a terrorist attack. 9/11 was a terrorist attack. OKC bombing was a terrorist attack. Atlanta Olympics bomb was a terrorist attack. But a small bomb placed on an individual's car that goes off at 4am is probably a personal thing. This was likely no more a terrorist attack than the bomb placed in Lefty Rosenthal's car was.

Terrorism usually has a political motivation. Killing the guy because he owes money or is cheating on his GF doesn't count.

If it were a terrorist attack it would be multiple Suicide Bombers hitting multiple main casino's at the same time during peak hours(like Bali, Spain and London) not some unfortunate person in a parking garage @ 4 am... Besides Al-Queda has pretty much said they aren't looking to hit the US with small scale suicide bombers, they want something big (in th 5-10k or more casualty range) This is at most a homicide pure and simple.

Killing someone sort of defeats the idea of coercing them.

This was my point. Just because it wasn't Al Queda doesn't mean it wasn't "terroist".

And all I wanted to do was point this out, not insist this incident be labeled a terrorist attack or something, so I'm done.

wow this is really weird because last week I was in Vegas at the MGM and I think it was Monday or Tuesday night and they evacuated the poker room and slot area all the way back to the table games at 1:00 am in the mourning. The next day we found out there was a "suspisious package found along the strip in front of MGM.

murder =/= terrorism

I suppose it's possible that this was 'terror' related, but if so, it sucked.
