At 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, 1982, Spilotro associate Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal turned his ignition key and started more than his '81 Cadillac Eldorado. Miraculously, Rosenthal escaped the blast with minor injuries, thanks to a steel plate under the driver's seat (standard on that model). Spilotro, his relationship with Rosenthal on the decline, was the prime suspect.

Default LV bad news: Not the T word?

Just asking. I have my suspicions, since LV welcomes anybody.

What countermeasures is the city taking to prevent this type of terrorist attack?

What terrorist attack? Probably some dealer gave someone a bad beat at the poker table and a player decided to get even with him.

What would you like them to do to prevent someone from leaving a backpack in a parking garage? And once you figure that out, tell us what steps the city should take to prevent people from shooting each other. And stealing cars. And having auto accidents.

Sometimes crap happens. This doesn't mean anything needs to be done about it.

First, this was not a terrorist attack.
Second, LV does what it can. Maybe not as much as other places BUT who really does have measures in place to stop it.

Praytell, what about exploding a bomb in a public place and killing people doesn't fit the definition of a terrorist attack?

Terrorism usually has a political motivation. Killing the guy because he owes money or is cheating on his GF doesn't count.

Terror attack has random people as targets to incite fear. Apparently this attack had a specific target.
