Default The Ultimate Turbo Lynch

I was called in to work 2 hours early today. When I arrived, my boss walked me down to Human Resources. I was then told that I had been terminated. The reason was irreconcirable differences between me and my boss. The differences were that I am a human being, and he is devoid of all life. He is a very hateful man, who has nothing good to say about anyone. He is bigoted and has made several remarks to me in the past about my ethnic background.

The company was very good through this ordeal. They gave me a nice severence package, but I am legally not allowed to discuss any of the details.

I tried to convince them that they lynched the wrong guy, and that my boss is actually the wolf, but at this moment night has fallen and the tribe has spoken. I will have my day next week with the higher ups and will try to plead my case, for what it is worth, but I do not see any hope in any of it.

I will be relying on POG to help get me through the next few days, and I appreciate all the friends I have made here in the short time that you all have been lynching me.

-Jay

Hang in there, and best of luck. They'll regret it.

FCBL: if you have any witnesses or have recorded any of his discriminatory comments, you should have a case for wrongful termination.

I worked for a sovereign indian nation. I have to sign an agreement not to sue if I want my severance. I will speak with a lawyer, but I think I am screwed here.

I did keep a work diary, and I did give a copy to HR when I left today. It detailed some of the more egregious stuff.

FCBL: Often those agreements (when signed with a private organisation, anyway) are invalid, or cannot be enforced. Talk to a lawyer, at the very least. Make sure you're doing everything you can to protect your rights.

Sounds like you got screwed. On the plus side, you now have the opportunity to pursue a career in a far more positive work environment.

My old job was a very bad work environment, with big gaps between management & employees, and bad management at that. Moving to where I am now has made me a much happier person.

I have 21 days to sign and retrun the agreement. They said they will not fight unemployment. The company was great about this whole thing. I have a meeting on Tuesday with the VP of HR and the GM. At that time, I will present my testament of wolfiness on my boss including some of the hurtful things he has said about each of them while in our department meetings. There really is nobody who this guy respects, and there are a lot who do not respect him. I say I have a 10% chance to win this one, and a 100% chance to work for the company if and when BossWolf leaves, either voluntarily, forced, or in a box (Thanks Chuck Norris)
