I think always checking through on the flop here is bad too, cause I'm not going to check through the flop too often with overpairs (I definitely will though) or with a hand like AK or KQ (I might sometimes).

When I check through here, my plan on the turn is to raise any turn. A lot of air will bet the turn from the SB and even some pairs will fold to a turn raise cause they will think I've slowplayed something. It's rare that I get a call on the turn, so my guess is the opponent has to have a pretty decent hand.

As for the amount of my turn raise, it's disgusting and was a complete miscalculation.

On the river, this decision was really tough for me. I really, really felt like unless this player is horrible I've got to be beat. However, I need to call 172 to win 656, so my call needs to be right 1 in 3.8 times.

After thinking about it for a lot, I realized this player would have to be truly disgustingly bad to make this play, so I folded.

If you're doing this sometimes, then I think it's okay. I do the same in short-handed games.

Nice fold, btw.

I concur, bet the flop always, raise bigger on turn, fold river.

You should not bet so much on the river unless you plan to call an all-in. I think something like 100-115 is better. Fold to the c/r as I think you are never good here.
