Can someone tell me in which year Qi became a word?? I must've slept through some sort of swearing-in ceremony because I've played scrabble for 15 years and always used a normal scrabble dictionary. Qi was never in it.

Maybe I'm old, but I can't beat these kids today and their modern words.

Qi was added this year. It's an alternate spelling of chi (not the Greek letter, but the natural energy of the universe).
Now you know it for next time, when you might get stuck with the Q.
