I love subway, but why do they never have a drive thru? I'd eat there a whole lot more if they did.

[/ QUOTE ]

Many Subways have drive-thru.

are there any meats/items that should be avoided at all costs?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really, the only thing I can think of is the seafood and crab sandwhich, its called seafood sensation now, but you know what im talking about. That is not a very popular sandwich and the crab tends to be out there too long if it people arent keepin an eye on it.

Subway makes the worst cookies on Earth. Seriously, how can you make a chocolate chip cookie that tastes horrible?

I like the sammiches though. Footlong turkey on oat bread with Sun chips is great.

Has anyone ever complained about employees using nasty knifes (covered in all stuff) to cut their sandwhiches?

I love subway...specifically the roasted chicken honey oat american cheese + Sweet Onion sauce...but that chicken always looks suspicious, should i be worried?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, many people complain about dirty knives, which is why at my store i have atleast 3 knives by the meats and atleast 3 by the veggies and I often switch them out/wipe them off.

The thing with the roasted chicken is it is only supposed to be in the hotwell for 4hrs, after that it is supposed to be thrown away because it starts to look and taste like crap, I'm sure you can tell when it is fresh or not, dont be afraid to ask the person makeing the sub how fresh it is. Rarely should you get the chicken before 11am cause often times they will reheat the leftovers from the night before.

Why doesn't Subway slice their meats/cheeses fresh?

I was in the mood for Subway a few months ago, was getting my sandwich made but I told them to forget about it and drove to one a couple of blocks away. The ham didn't look fresh at all, wasn't about to get sick.

Another question, why did subway start cutting their bread lengthwise instead of the weird u-shaped thing they used to cut off the top?

[/ QUOTE ]

we switched from the u gauge to the hinge cut because the hinge cut is more effective for the most part. The u gauge was way to hard to keep the sandwiches together, it is more effective for the meatball sub, but as a whole the hinge cut is better

I think because it would cost more to rent the bigger space required for one. I used to live in a small city that has a Subway with a drive thru.
