I'm not as experienced as many of the posters here and maybe this is a bit of a stretch but after 100 hands does the Villain have a strong enough read on you? Perhaps he thinks he can push you off the hand.

I think its important to note that the Villain has 58.65 left after his bet, essentially he's pot committed. Maybe he was unable to put you on a set of 2's and is over betting for value. I'd argue he has an over pair to the board and take my chances putting him all in...

come on guys, he's not calling an additional 100bb shove on the turn here with JJ or QQ, jesus

call and get it on the river, sure whatever - shoving the turn can't be the best way to play the hand

this isn't OMG SET ALL IN FISTPUMP STAB CALL OMG WIN WIN WIN $$$$$$

do we win this more than whatever % we need to? probably. is a shove on the turn getting called by worse hands more than better hands? probably not. is calling and playing poker on the river the best way to do it? um yeah.

I'd never fold this.

He can show up with all sorts or semi bluff type hands, over pairs random 2 pairs even.

Just shove, nothing else you can do.

and I will concede that you guys showed me that folding the turn isn't great, but neither is pushing

Villain is pot committed at this point so we might aswell get this last $50 in the pot now.

If he has a semi bluff hand like hearts, straight draw etc and he misses the river then we dont get his money.

If he floated the flop with J10 Q10, K10 etc and the river gives an ace then he might get away from it.

If we're willing to felt with this set then we have to get all the money in now to maximise are potential profir because we cant fold the river no matter what and there's a chance we lose value if he misses.

he has put in over half his stack on a draw heavy board. he is more likely to fold a worse hand on the river than on the turn
