You can't take songs off of an ipod, but as far as I know you can take a song off of itunes..
And actually you can take songs off of ipods, they just don't make it publically known. My friend works at an apple retail store enlightened me to this. You just have to change some settings or some crap.

In all serius biz, once your ipod is plugged in, click on your device ("OP's IPOD YO) and don't know exactly where it is, but find settings, or something of the sort, and have to click on "manually manage songs". I wish I could help more but don't have my ipod to plug in as of now. If all that doesn't work, insert ipod into anoos.
