You pick up pots where I win UI on say a AJ6 flop when I have K9 or K5s or 33 or whatever. This is assuming you fold there of course

Your eq vs my range is about 50% and I cant 5-bet you. Tho I can c/r flops of course

I start playing more honest postflop.


I cap all pps in position in that spot vs thinking TAG or LAGTAG

EDIT: Change that to "vs thinking but not too trikxy TAG or LAGTAG" Against really good players I am not sure its a good play.

against thinking TAGs and LAGTAGs I think you should most of the time. You gain more than enough fold equity to make up for the times they sem-bluff you out of the pot.

Plus people tend to run less semi-bluffs against cappers because they assume their is a decent chance that if you cap your hand pf you are SD bound.

I think capping small pkts on the button vs the right SB 3-bettors is very +EV. At least the kind of SB 3-bettors that populate this forum.

vs me, 55 is nearly even money so I'd think you'd benefit from playing a bigger pot when you have position. against somebody where you have 42% equity you prob shouldn't cap though.
