Re: NLTRN $11 - Ace-high hands with nothing else in common
haha gtfo budapest. i won't fold if villain min-bets some more or anything but i'd rather try to check-behind then fire a blocking bet on the turn hoping to check-behind the river.
fwiw at the 11's villain's usually shove 50 bb's deep with 44 and min-raise with AA |

Re: NLTRN $11 - Ace-high hands with nothing else in common
I don't recall ever seeing a pf 3-bet followed by a slowplay or cr.
He doesn't have anything that take pressure, apply accordingly. The continuation bet frequency is a direct function of how loose you play (looser = more aggression). Chicago, why is a min 3-bet a terrible thing? I notice that the min bet raise gets a ton of heat at 2+2, and I never seen a good argument for this thinking, just that it is some postulate we all must abide by. |

Re: NLTRN $11 - Ace-high hands with nothing else in common
Because it slightly inflates the pot for you OOP. If you do it with a wide range this is bad because you are essentially calling a 5x raise PF, if you do it with a tight range you're tipping your hand too often.

Re: NLTRN $11 - Ace-high hands with nothing else in common
Guilty on the 11s.
I guess that with the very large player pool, we are playing against different players. Are you playing at night or day? Chicago, I don't make it a habit of min-3-betting pf. I usually pop it to 200, but there is the issue of action vs no action. I am not so sure about playing TAG style, but I have the hardest time getting called and I play uber-LAG. |

Re: NLTRN $11 - Ace-high hands with nothing else in common
If you're not getting action on your 3-bets, start 3-betting crap hands and profit that way. You don't minbet tptk because nobody is calling your flop bets, you start bluffing and semi bluffing more. Don't adjust your bet sizes so much to where you're doing something that falls right into the opponent's lap, you're just hurting yourself and forcing yourself into tough decisions that way.
