Poker Tracker Question about starting a new database
I started using PokerTracker last month and have about 20k hands at 10NL and 25NL on stars... I would like to start a new database for September but am unsure of what will happen with my stats for other players collected in August.
Are the stats carried over or do i have to rebuild the new database from scratch. Ideally i'd like to have the stats from the old database displayed while i'm playing. Can i configure PAHUD to read off the August database while the September one is being built? |

Re: Poker Tracker Question about starting a new database
Why do you want to make another DB?

Re: Poker Tracker Question about starting a new database
Was thinking about have a separate one from each month for record keeping purposes... do most people just keep 1 DB?

Re: Poker Tracker Question about starting a new database
Typically. Most people wont make a new one til their first one starts getting a lot of hands and performing slower. Some people keep separate databases for data-mining reasons, etc. Even if you are using the default Access PT DB's, instead of PostregSQL you can still import a lot of hands before you notice performance loss. The filters in PT allow you to review your DB by whatever date range, or other criteria you would want.
FYI - You will get faster, more thorough answers to your PokerTracker questions - at the PokerTracker Forums, rather than here. |
