Default NLTRN $11 - 2ndPTK, late

villain is fairly passive - limps a lot on the button, doesn't semi-bluff when s/he could take a free card instead, etc. we've been playing awhile and i think this is the first check/raise. i c-bet a lot.

PokerStars Game #11454171507: Tournament #58120319, $11.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Match Round I, Level III (25/50) - 2007/08/12 - 18:59:52 (ET)
Table '58120319 1' 2-max Seat #2 is the button
Seat 1: ACFS (1970 in chips)
Seat 2: babybupkr (1030 in chips)
babybupkr: posts small blind 25
ACFS: posts big blind 50
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to babybupkr [7c Ah]
babybupkr: raises 50 to 100
ACFS: calls 50
*** FLOP *** [7h Jc 5s]
ACFS: checks
babybupkr: bets 150
ACFS: raises 150 to 300

after my c-bet i have 780; it's 150 to me and there's 650 in the pot. if i call here, should i basically figure i'm committing myself?

if i call here, is there a turn we fold if villain shoves?

thanks,
bbbushu

Tough spot. Given your read I think it's a fold. I think you're looking at a jack most of the time. The only other thing that comes to mind is that he might be tired of your aggression and chosen this safe-looking flop to 3bet, but that's unlikely.

a lot of what i'm looking for are ways to decide whether to commit to a hand or not. i have the best pair of 7's but the board is also pretty drawless, given i don't put 86 or similar hands in villain's preflop range. i'm getting a little better on 4:1 but i don't know how often villain does this with T9 (i would usually say VERY rarely) or even a hand like 87.

if i call there will be t800 in the pot - a little more than my stack - so it's not like villain will get too cute. even if villain does and bets like 400 on the turn, i'm still basically putting myself all-in by calling (in fact a shove to a smallish c-bet might be best because at least then i charge draws).

if i fold here i'll have about 15 bb's left, which isn't life support but it's also pretty nasty to be at a 3:1 deficit this late in the match.

anybody else have thoughts?

MIN RE-RAISE !!!WARNING!!!!
this is aj-kj-aa,kk,qq or 2 pr always. in this spot you will be commiting your self to this pot all the way. if anything you should shove here hoping he has ak-aq or something to that matter. you should fold this spot IMO, the player has been fairly passive and now is willing to engage in Combat?ehh i muck here.
