I still have like 75 or 100 VHS movies...and a combo DVD/VCR player.

I'm sure as hell not buying all new DVD's just to replace them. I will continue to rewatch then on VCR (I rewatch my movies a lot).

Now that I have a DVR, I can't even remember the last time I used my VHS. In fact, the way my VCR is set up now, it is playback only--it cannot record. But I haven't even played a video, probably since I got the DVR.

[ QUOTE ]
I am a big MST3K collector and the majority of my collection is in VHS from the tape trading post. I collected most of these from ~2002-2005 and in most cases people dealt in VHS, no idea why . I have almost all of them now and just haven't gotten around to transferring them to DVD.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you ever transfer them, in all seriousness I'd pay for copies of them all. That show was awesome.

I've got a feckton of VHS under my bed with excellent documentaries from TV on them, which i've been unable to source on DVD or download.

Could we turn this thread into a "how to" thread on converting VHS -> divx/avi or DVD?
