It doesn't have sports teams, though (NBA All Star Game doesn't count). And Nevada is like the 4th most earthquake prone state (though I live dangerously and don't have earthquake insurance on the house). I have seen ho's, but if you run into one in the wild, treat them like you would a snake. Back away slowly, make no sudden moves. Remember, they're as afraid of you as you are of them. They're just one of those parts of the natural fauna you learn to deal with. But if Vegas ain't your cup o tea, you want San Diego. About the world's most perfect weather, a couple casinos, NFL team. If that doesn't float your boat, Bay Area or LA.

I was born and rasied in Phoenix, it is ok. Summers are tough though. 110 plus days. 95 to 100 nights in summer. Lakes there are so so. Cost of living is headed up there. East side is the place to live.
I lived in San Diego, best weather of anyplace in the states. Cost of living can get hefty though. Tunica are is worth a look. Cost of living is great. Football is not to far away. Not sure about hockey. Wife and I are currently looking to relocate to that area out of the Las Vegas area. Housing is very affordable, food is great and the weather is not bad. I lived in Oregon for 9 years. Cost of living is jumping, housing is headed up. Indian casinos seem to provide a good income to dealers. Winters are a tad cold a rainy though. Lakes are GREAT for fishing. Trout and Bass are good hits year round.
