Good idea for a thread, but most impressive may be more interesting because it'll keep people from bragging about the 20 lb catfish or 60 lb shark they caught.

No pics but I cought a 43 inch striper fishing from the rocks up in Casco Bay Maine a few years ago. Didn't take girdth measurements, but I think it was a shade under 33 on the boga grip.

Most impressive definitely a 9 lb bonefish on a flyrod down in Belize.

no picture of most impressive, but it was a 34 inch striper caught inside of that harbor that stripped the gears on my baitcasting freshwater rod when I was fishing for schoolies and had to hand line it in, I was also using clams because the sand eels were sold out

I'm going to take a shot at translating this...

"stripped the gears on my baitcasting freshwater rod"
The fish fought a lot and broke your rod?

"I was fishing for schoolies"
You were fishing for young fish?

"had to hand line it in"
You had to pull the fishing line in with your hands after the rod broke?

"I was also using clams because the sand eels were sold out"
Wtf you can use clams for bait?

Not the largest fish I've caught, nor the largest walleye, but it one of my recent better catches. Caught June in northwest Ontario with a jig and leech. This guy was around 27 inches, and is still swimming. Largest walleye was 30.5 inches and is on the wall... but only because he could not be revived.

Cubswin, I don't think i've seen you post in a LONG time.

I don't have any pics, but my favorite fish I caught was a northern pike that I caught in a farm pond.....this isn't natural in Iowa.
