Flop semibluff play
Villain is 21/10/4 over a small sample size of 20 hands.
Party Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter CO: $27.37 BTN: $24.84 SB: $25.10 BB: $71.31 Hero (UTG): $15.07 Pre-Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG) Hero raises to $1, CO folds, BTN calls $1, 2 folds Flop: ($2.35) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $1.20, BTN raises to $4, Hero raises to $14.07 and is All-In Results: $10.35 Pot ($10.35 Rake) I'm quite unsure as to whether I played this well enough, though I have up to 16 outs (10 spades, 3 fours, 3 aces) and am probably slightly ahead of high PP's. What do you think of my leading the flop, and was the allin reraise the right move? I'm aware the UTG raise is a bit loose, and it would be interesting to know how other people play Axs from EP. Looking forward to hearing any advice, thanks in advance |

Re: Flop semibluff play
I fold Axs from ep pre flop. Once you get here this way, though, bet the flop strong, and then shove over his raise like you did. Pretty standard other than pre flop.

Re: Flop semibluff play
It's not a semi-bluff, it's actually a value-push.
Any spade, ace or 4 is probably good |

Re: Flop semibluff play
Thanks for the reassurance I did indeed reload and had the best run I've had for a while! Villain had TsTc btw, and his hand held up.

Re: Flop semibluff play
Given your stack, I love it. You're actually ahead here against an overpair.
