that Chelsea-Arsenal game was great to watch. Both teams battling it out, great atmosphere. Essien has two league goals this year, both equalizers against Arsenal.
Against the other top 3 teams, Arsenal end the season with 3 wins, 2 ties, and 1 loss. Good base to build upon for next year. August can't come soon enough!!!! |

They have already won the league as well. No real way to get around it, but its pretty sad that the only trophy's the club gets this season come from the womens team.
Off topic, but I saw some highlights from a game earier this season between Chelsea and Liverpool's womens teams and I was surprised by a few things. The venue the game was played in was [censored]. Looked like a rec league field. Also, the quality was very poor. I would wager that womens college teams here in the US would probably school them pretty easily. |

[/ QUOTE ] the women's games look like they're played at non league grounds. The quality is rather weak, and if WUSA started up again, it'd be a garuntee that the top english women would come back to the US. There is a massive divide in talent in the womens game as you'll see women like Julie Fleeting who is a major talent playing against women who don't really deserve to be on the same pitch. I'd be interested to see how much the women make and what their second jobs are because I know that the women's prem is semi-pro |
