[ QUOTE ]
Is the green actually "floating" so that it could move with enough force? Like if the wind picked up over the water would it change your putting line, or is it on some kind of submerged track?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, it's actually floating. Our caddy said that you can actually feel it move quite often (we couldn't), but never to the point where it's extremely noticeable. The thing is massive.

The course is just fantastic, and while it's a little expensive right now, it sounds like prices might have to go down. Apparently this course, Black Rock, is taking over a lot of their business. The course is supposed to be insane (I guess Tiger is buying a place there), and while Couerdalene use to get a lot of "celebrities" and visiting rich folk, our caddy said they're all going to Black Rock. Further, all the locals who used to play at the resort are now members of Black Rock. That website of the course is worth checking out, it looks amazing. Members only.

HP,

That course you linked has a putting course on it! [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] putting courses. Unfortunately, like most private courses the website doesn't detail course plans/routing/scorecard etc. Just like Clark's link to that course in the other thread. Bummer, I like seeing the hole routing and such.

Also, that Coor Da Lien hole floats? So they just drag it around to whatever yardage they're feeling that day? Oh wait, that's probably not possible. Does it just float around to whatever it's feeling like that day? I thought it was anchored by some sort of contraption that slid it back and forth.

1st Hole at Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Nevada.

Here is another hole at Wolf Creek. Picture is from the tee box, the fairway turns left. Kinda whacked when trying to figure out how far to hit your drive, but it's a pretty hole.

Par-5 5th. I'm a big fan of overswinging and getting steep on this hole. The resulting popup finds the creek.

Haha...yeah, we see that a lot in our group as well.

We've played this course about 5 times, best drive I've had on this hole is where the cart is in the middle of the fairway. Otherwise, I'm on the dirt or in the creek you mentioned.
