I'm not sure what they're supposed to do though. I mean, Brady played one snap into the 4th quarter iirc. Are they supposed to sit him at the end of the first half?

[/ QUOTE ]
If they did that in the Colts game, this thread would have died a merciful death.

[/ QUOTE ]

Except that should never and would never have happened...

The Patriots are on pace to score more points than I did in the last Tecmo Bowl season I played.

That should only happen if you were playing as the New England Patriots.

Going for it on 4th tonight is really funny.

Scattered throughout the league's rosters are the coaches of the future. At some point, be it 5, 10, 15 years down the line or more, the pats are going to find themselves with an awful team and some vengeful people will be determined to pay this back.

[/ QUOTE ]

When this happens (and I think it will), you won't hear any complaining from me.

hey hey hey, the point of my post was to show how good the Pats are, not how much I suck at Tecmo Bowl.

the thing is, I don't think anyone really cares if we win by a lot. but what in the world would happen if Brady got hurt?

[/ QUOTE ]

You'd probably be completely [censored].

I think the Pats could still beat a lot of teams without Brady but for sure, goodbye deep post-season run.

I'm not sure what they're supposed to do though. I mean, Brady played one snap into the 4th quarter iirc. Are they supposed to sit him at the end of the first half?

If the Pats lost Brady they'd still end up playing the (healthy) Colts or the Steelers in the AFC Champ game..

That said, both those teams are a pretty solid fav (6+) against a Brady-less NE even in FOX.

It's not hard to throw slants to Welker and lobs to Moss, but it would take a decent (non-Cassell) back-up to replace him.

Now if the Colts lost Manning...

I'd start a new thread because this is kinda a seperate topic, but I think we have enough Pats threads.

I wonder how different the season would be if spygate never happened. If the Patriots had never cheated, if they never acquired the label of cheaters, what would be different? They'd certainly still be the best team in the league and undefeated, but would they be blowing teams away? Are they actually mad about being labeled as cheaters? Would they still be the most hated NFL team outside New England?

Obviously no way to know, just something I was thinking about.
