Pretty sick call there by Tran with J high.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it would be if we saw Kenny making great laydowns. I have seen him making sick calls and I have seen him making donkey calls. I am sure he is a good player (probably would felt me in any cash game) but why is it a surprise that a calling station makes a good call at times?

Just after calling with Jack high Kenny went on to give most of his chips to Deeb with a couple of hands where he was calling with the worse hand.

"Sick call Kenny" or "Calling station Kenny"? You decide!

coverage of the event was good imo.
not much you can do when the event is boring as [censored].
I mean kenny tran mad it watchable.
If it was some other guy who had no charisma, it would be a very boring show.

Deeb had people all-in drawing dead or close to it more than I have seen in a while.

tran played fine, it's just that deeb coolered the whole freaking table. i don't think someone nicknamed "calling station" kenny could survive in nosebleed nl let alone be considered the best commerce nl player today so i'm rooting "sick call" kenny. remember kenny tran is a cash-game grinder and not some donkament jackpot winner that likes to play big.

I've just begun to learn other games besides NLHE so it's pretty fun to see the HORSE event but I agree that it's a lot harder to follow a stud8 or O8 hand than a given NLHE hand.. Still, I thought it was pretty fun to see (and learn). But didn't anyone think Norman Chad was really annoying?

When is Norman Chad NOT annoying? Id quite happily smash him in his paedo tashe awefully lame joke telling face with a shovel if i was given the option.

Kenny Trans call with the 63 hand was truly attrocious. Not as bad as that Hansen dudes play, but really bad.

KT is like the inverse of Helmuth - when you call enough with weak hands your gonna find your good more often than if you fold - same with how Hellmuth constantly folds hands he played into rags by not protecting them.

Hanson and Fitoussi are terrible, Deep played good and ran amazingly, but the whole structure was a joke.
You only have enough chips to play one hand?

WTF??

They played 341 hands at the final table. That is a long long long time at live poker. So the blinds had a lot of time to go up.

In my opinion the major weakness of the HORSE broadcast (beyond the usual ESPN stuff) was that they moved too fast on games I don't regularly play (nor do most viewers for that matter). Mostly the stud games, particularly stud 8. They need to slow down a lot on those games if they expect us to follow what's going on.
