Top pair ickish kicker question
What do you guys do in a situation where you are in the BB with something like Q7s, 4 guys limp in and you check.
The flop is Q49 rainbow. Typically I'll make a pot size bet. What the heck do you do if 2 guys call! You are sitting there with top pair - rottin kicker. If you check you are asking for be bet into, if you bet you are showing strength . .. like a glass hammer! Ideas? This is why I LOVE it when I'm short stacked!! PUSH or FOLD! LOL

Tantalus747 has the other problem I have and I believe this is the same answer - just get out. I LOVE being short stacked and if your not in a spot to bully I just back down to live another day.

Like that type of flop you're only afraid of a set or top pair with higher kicker, and maybe two pair. But you may have the best hand? I'm not folding top pair very easily but i'm not pushing that hand too much. I bet flop and check/call/fold the turn, maybe(very little of the time) bet again on the turn. It depends on my opponents. If they called probably you're beaten.One of them is probably drawing and one of them has a top pair with better kicker. Assuming you bet pot-sized, first caller has at least top pair with good kicker. Second player my be drawing. If second player has set or two pair, he probably raises with that big pot. I try to keep the pot small in that kind of situation. So pot-sized bet is wrong for me. It's bad to lose lots of chips in multi-way pots. But it's worse to easily fold top pair for me.
