Chairs for a poker room?

Does anyone have a recommendation for chairs for a home poker room? They can be pretty basic, but they need to be comfortable, and I'd like to be able to fit 10 around a standard hold'em table, so they can't be too wide. I'd also like to keep them below $100 apiece if possible, though I guess they could be a hair higher.

Should I be looking for something adjustable? Just typical conference room chairs? What do casinos use? If somebody can point me in the right directions, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Although I like arms on a chair, they make it wider.

I personally don't like arms on poker chairs and thankfully have not seen too many. You are so close at the table that getting in and out of a chair with arms is difficult not to mention how many finger pinches happen. Also, if you have a small tray table behind you, it's difficult to get at your beer with the arms there.

I never used a chair on wheels that swivels like an office chair but that doesn't seem right to me.

I personally like chairs like this. You can spin them around and sit backwards in them (a la Todd Brunson on High STakes). And if you hadn't thought of it, these can be stacked when not in use:

Stacking isn't the biggest concern in the work, as I think I'll have these "out" most if not all of the time, but I guess it can't hurt (for when I move or something.)

I'm just the opposite. Love chairs with arms and never pinched a finger or had a problem getting my drink from the side table. Every casino I've played in has always had chairs with arms. Biggest drawback in my opinion is they are generally wider so if you have a small table room does an issue. For example, my tables are 84 x 42 and fits 9 comfortably with a standard folding chair, 10 gets a little cozy. When we use chairs with arms 9 is really cozy, 10 practically impossible.

Chairs always cost more than I think they would. Those standard metal fold-out chairs that are at hundreds of parties, cost like $25-$40 each. I always figured them for $5 pieces of junk.

I'm with you, I like arms too, I just think the space tradeoff is a problem for most folks. I play at a game with a massive 12 person table (although we never play more than 11) and the host has very large comfortable chairs with arms. We can only play with ten of the large chairs with arms and need to switch out one or two if we go up to 11 players. The other drawback is that leather on the arms is getting torn up hitting the underside of the table (the chairs are height adjustable but most people like em taller rather than smaller.)

So, in the game you describe, I'd much rather sacrifice the arms and get the full table in comfortably, although I do like the arms.
