Bank Clerk thinks UB check is fake! Please help.

After cashing $750 out of UB, I received a check after a reasonable amount of time. However, when my wife took it to the bank they said the check was fake! Need some help please... thanks.

How in the hell do they know that the check was fake?

They told her it was missing some account numbers or something like that and that it had no watermark, and that we had been "scammed". If I remember the check appears to be from a German bank, maybe the teller just has no idea what she is talking about.

Well, you can always deposit it through the atm and see if it clears. There is no reason that Ultimate Bet would scam you or anybody else. You could also contact customer service if you haven't already.

My latest UB cashout was sick! I had the money on NETeller withing hours after initiating the cashout, normally it takes a couple of days but I never had any problems though.

However most CS people at banks are ignorant when it comes to foreign payments and pretty much any task which is out of the ordinary. Try again and it'll probably work out.

That's what I figured, but it still shook me up when the Bank is telling her it's fake and I wanted to see if others had experienced the same problem and why. Running home at lunch to contact cust support, can't get through the company firewall to UB from work. Thanks for the input.

Its probably because the check is from a different country. The Teller at my bank was confused when I tried to deposit a check from Sweden. She just went and asked a superior and they got it deposited easily enough.
