Default 4 betting with AA/KK

Based on ~150K hands of NL$50/$100, it appears the average SSNL player will call a push with QQ+, AK+. At good tables this range becomes 1010+,AQs+. Many respected posters in this forum have stated that they "never" 4 bet AA/KK. So my question is why?

I think what it is is that since most posters never do it with other hands they never do it with premiums. A while ago I figured out that if I was going to play back at light 3betters by 4betting junk, I realized I had to do it with KK+ to balance it out.

Beforehand I never did it and I don't think it held to much value compared to calling and c/r ai on the flop.

Because generally you telegraph your hand. I think it's fine to push against weaker players (and generally at these stakes, I don't hesitate to 3-4 bet because people call with as bad as 99 and AJ).

just to echo, it requires a lot of balancing and without that it telegraphs our hand. i am more likely to 4bet 1/2 my stack as a bluff against light 3betters (HI AZPLAYA!) than to do it with the goods, since this usually has a ton of fold equity.

of course, if i got caught, i'd adjust.

I play 25nl and 4 betting all in with AA/KK has made me a ton of money. I've seen all kinds of crap go against my aces and lose (with the odd suckout here and there).

I think there is a lot of "call equity" in this move because SSNL players either a) just always think you're bluffing, b) love getting their stacks in because thats how its done on TV or c) are just morons. I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Of course as with everything it depends on reads. I don't like 4 betting with aa/kk at NL100 FR unless i considered bad enough to be messing around with all kinds of rubbish.

It disguiss your hand and you should have villan on a tight raisor.
