Re: Arb alerts

[ QUOTE ] I wonder if a soft side exists when arbing between sharp books [/ QUOTE ] Hilarious. [/ QUOTE ] True, in that context that does sound pretty dumb. Obviously there has to be a soft line in every arb, though I'm sure you already knew that. But thanks for the comment, love ya too. [ QUOTE ] The hard part is knowing which line is soft, though. [/ QUOTE ] Thank you, this is what I meant. With Pinny you can blindly bet the other side of the arb and be +EV. Between two secondary sharp books with no consistent edge over the other, how do you distinguish which is the soft line? Long-term, the books would just pass back money meaning there is no "one soft side", as opposed to say arbing between Pinnacle and Bodog where Bodog is always the soft side. I hope that made sense. |

Re: Arb alerts
I have developed a similar system for use with soccer arbs that I have been using for several months. It currently works with 22 bookies.
I hadn't thought about licensing this software but if there is sufficient interest I will offer a small number of licenses with support. Utah's magic number 10 seems arbitrary, I would instead like to offer 1 at a time and then gauge effect, if insignificant then offer a second, and so on. What price would people be willing to pay for this service? Obviously this would be very closely linked in to what it was worth to each player, assuming 20x 1-3c arbs per day across 22 books. Would a monthly fee (with supports and updates) be best or a one-off software purchase? |
