I really gave watching this sport an honest shot.

I just can't get into it, no matter how hard I try.

(and i played it for about 6 years in my youth)

it really isn't fair to watch this then give up on it. watch some EPL in a few weeks

That's cool. I wish people would realize that not everyone's going to be into soccer. It's not an attack on soccer fans when someone else just doesn't enjoy the sport like you do.

Similarly, I wish people would at least give it an honest shot like you did. The Jim Rome's of the world who immediately dismiss the sport and belittle everything about it are complete tools.

They have explicitly claimed they're not (which I think is very anti-scientologist but I'm no expert), but they are very close to Tom Cruise and Beckham mentioned John Travolta in the pregame show.

I did not watch the match tonight, but I tried to watch a lot of the world cup games. I nearly fell asleep during most of them, but found the final game entertaining.

I understand why soccer is so appealing to most of the world. I also understand how important it is to a lot of people around the world. I respect the kind of international power a sport like that can have.
