Gamble Responsibly - WTF ?

Anyone else see Chris Ferguson's "Gamble responsibly and within your bankroll" piece on Poker After Dark ? WTF ? Is this really the message we want the Poker Players Alliance to put out ??

I just wish they had put TJ on to warn us about playing casino games ...

PS I'm joking, don't flame me. But it was weird.

why was is weird?
poker´s image is quite bad so messages like that help in improving it.

It was weird to hear this on a show featuring TJ, the most famous degen poker busto of them all, and where last week they were making huge prop bets on completely random [censored].

It reminded me of the Simpsons where the Duff Beer man goes "DRINK DUFF !!" [under his breath]"...responsibly".

I found it offensive. I don't think they should be focusing on irresponsible gambling. I don't see how highlighting problem gambling, on a show watched by gamblers, does any good.

Typical politically correct disingenuousness. I'm sure the CEO's of beer companies and gambling companies (like Harrah's) have to keep from gagging when they talk about GA and responsible "gaming".

But it's a small price to pay to be allowed access to the First Amendment in the brave new world.

I view it more like a package of cigarettes that says they may produce cancer. It a warning for you to be careful when you gamble, that's all.

Remember we are just the players and we don't make the rules so public opinion is very important even if they are not poker players.
