Re: Help me stop razor bumps
I keep a plug-in kettle in the bathroom and steam my face before I shave. This improves things greatly and it is just like you have just gotten out of the shower.
I can only shave up on my neck or I get tons of crazy bumps. I don't shave over my adam's apple. I pull the skin that usually covers it to the left or right and shave the hairs off. You can get everything without actually dealing with the bump. I use the Fusion and Edge Gel that is sold at Costco. I have found nothing better. |

Re: Help me stop razor bumps
Take some rubbing alcohol in your hand and massage your testicles. This causes the heat to leave your upper body and travel to your lower body, which makes you less likely to suffer razor burn. It sounds weird, but its scientific fact.

Re: Help me stop razor bumps
First, if you're only shaving every other day or so, the electric razor is not a good idea. I'm a bum and don't shave every day and I found the electric razor couldn't handle the extra length. The few times I'd go 3-4 days without shaving the electric razor felt like it was ripping each hair out individually.
Second, I've started shaving in the shower. I do the normal shower routine, and then I break out my cheap plastic non-fog mirror and shave. Its awesome. Saves time and your face has been wet and hot for ten-fifteen minutes which is definitely a plus. |

Re: Help me stop razor bumps
Sharp razor plus TendSkin (available at Sephora, just so you feel extra manly going to buy it) I think the company Jack Black sells something similar for a bit less money. After I get waxed I use TendSkin for a few days and it eliminated any bumps or ingrowns that I would normally get.I held off buying it for a while due to the cost and the vague feeling that it was maybe just alcohol or something and I was getting ripped off, but it really works quite well. |
