Default NL25 yet another JJ overpair in trouble

Hi 2+2, some more advice needed, thank you very much in advance!

<u>Question:</u>
1. River fold ok?
2. Had I bet the flop, would it then be ok to commit if there is any reraise, given that there is three of them in the hand?

<u>Read:</u> heīs an unknown. I just sat down. Table is very loose - high flop seen rate.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($14.35)
Button ($28.05)
SB ($14.70)
BB ($19.25)
UTG ($28.40)
UTG+1 ($12.65)
MP1 ($23.50)
Hero ($28.05)
MP3 ($23.60)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG calls $0.75.

Flop: ($4.35) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
UTG checks, Hero checks, MP3 checks, CO checks.

<font color="blue"> Trying to c/r here. C-bets donīt take it down at this table, and I want to thin the field, given that thereīs 3 of them in the hand. </font>

Turn: ($4.35) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3.25</font>, MP3 folds, CO folds, UTG calls $3.25.

River: ($10.85) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $7.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $24.15</font>, Hero folds.

<font color="blue"> Now I know I donīt have to be good very often, but I really donīt see anything I beat here, even taking into account how I underrepped my hand by flop play. </font>

Final Pot: $25.35

By checking the flop, you possibly give a chance for a free card. There are a ton of cards you don't want to see on the turn (spade, overcard) - make them pay to see. Also, check-raising will usually only get worse hands to fold and better hands to call/raise. Leading out is optimal here - it will thin the field as much as a c/r would without commiting a big chunk of your stack.
