NL100 I find myself bluffing with JJ
Villain is 13.3/7.7/14 (thats right, his AF is higher than his VPIP) over 443 hands
Is this FPS? I had this sick feeling like, "what the hell am i doing here?" when I made the river bet, think I got kind of lost in this hand. Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $59.65 UTG+1: $98.50 MP1: $9.35 Fiasco: $98.50 MP3: $46.35 CO: $60.45 Button: $183.30 SB: $59 BB: $98.50 Pre-flop: (9 players) Fiasco is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Fiasco raises to $4</font>, 4 folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $11</font>, Fiasco calls. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($22.5, 2 players) BB checks, Fiasco checks. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($22.5, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">BB bets $12</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Fiasco raises to $24</font>, BB calls. River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($70.5, 2 players) BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Fiasco bets $30</font>, BB Does something, but you dont get to know what. Since I have (some) showdown value should I just have called the turn and re-evaluated the river (basically call the turn and fold to any significant bet on the river)? |

Re: NL100 I find myself bluffing with JJ
He probably pushed all in.
If you are going to bother bluffing, do it on the flop as it costs you only $15, where your bluff cost you $54. |

Re: NL100 I find myself bluffing with JJ
I can't figure out what he puts $24 in on the turn with that he folds on the river for $30. They say a bluff should tell a story. This one doesn't, really. Or if it does, I just don't get it.

Agree to BigBiceps, plus your turn raise does not achieve anything and I guess you know it.

Re: NL100 I find myself bluffing with JJ
If you must bluff then this is this is what I'd do in order of effectiveness.
1. Bet the flop for like $15. If he calls then you can give up or fire the turn for $40. 2. Raising the turn to $45 is cheaper, stronger, and doesn't give him a free card, but you don't get that extra $12 out of him. (as opposed to your river bluff) 3. Bluff the river for $50. $30 seems way too weak to me. |

Re: NL100 I find myself bluffing with JJ
I was trying to represent a big hand (thats what they all say) either AQ or QQ.
I thought the minraise would honestly work on the turn. For some reason I just felt completely sure that he was on KK. FWIW, he folded the river. |

I was trying to represent a big hand (thats what they all say) either AQ or QQ. [/ QUOTE ] you should be betting the flop to rep those imo |
