Need help on PartyPoker
ok this might sound a little pathetic but i need advice on partypoker. I just returned there because the games seems so soft. But everytime i "return" there i am putting about thousand $ in the partypoker cirle and leave again to play at microgaming and get it back.
Yes my name is Oli and I am an alcoh.... i don't know how to beat the games there. Everyone thinks that it is wonderful that they are calling everything but that makes e.g. blindsteals very senseless. I tried to adjust my game (Open raise 3,5 BB) and do not cbet as often but i have not enough samplesize to know if that works. I am playing: 19 / 16 / FlopAF: 4,75 / TurnAF: 2,75 / River: 1,5. Folded SB: 87 / Folded BB: 80 ATS: 35 WTS: 20 These stats look better than 3 weeks ago. Anyone who is a winning player at party has an advice for me? |

Re: Need help on PartyPoker
Stop trying to get your numbers to a certain degree and just play your game.
That's my advice. |

Re: Need help on PartyPoker
Party Poker isn't that soft than anyone thinks. The action there is very loose but very aggressive. This leads to a high variance game. You cannot steal blinds there and you don't make your winrate with low or medium sized pots there.
You have to play very tight - far tighter than in other rooms - and wait for premium hands. Also, you should take notes on player when they reraise. There's a lot of light reraising going on at Party, so a proper decision to call reraises can only be made with some knowledge of Villains reraising range, that may vary a lot from Villain to Villain. The good thing at Party is that even if you play nitty, almost every strong hand will be payed off. But if you don't hit, it can be very frustrating. I don't like Party that much. There are lots of rooms available for European players that are easier to beat than Party. |
