Default 400NL - TP no kicker, should I call this river bet ?

Villain is 25/12/1.8 over 200 hands. No history, he's regular but not very good (open-limp a ton, etc...).

Everest Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00/$4.00 (HH Converter by Kreatief)

SB ($62.00)
BB ($405.60)
CO ($546.50)
Button ($590.70)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
CO calls $4.00, Hero raises to $16.00, 2 folds, CO calls $12.00,

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ( $38 )
CO checks, Hero checks,

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ( $38 )
CO bets $20.00, Hero calls $20.00,

River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( $78 )
CO bets $78.00, Hero ...?

Thoughts on all streets are welcome.

I like how you played it. River seems like a close decision, I probably fold though. In my experience I rarely see a pot size bet for a bluff here.

In all seriousness, this looks like some idiotic hand which hoped YOU had air on the turn and then hit the river hard. A2/22 seem to fit this bill, although I consider the latter unlikely. KT would be a hand I see Villain playing this way if he has poor, uncreative lines for value. Either way, you don't beat much and aren't getting great odds, so fold.

the only bluff i can see here is if he picked up a FD on the turn and now he thinks a second barrel might work because you didn't show much strenght.

Thanks for the answers, I called because I underrepresented my hand and felt like he could second barrel here but the bet sizing was indeed really weird for a bluff. He had QJs.

Do you change your mind if the Villain has the same aggr. factor but is donkier, with stats like 40/15 ?

why not bet the flop? u seem to take an agressive stance by raising limper with A8o so why not follow thru & bet the flop, even if u had missed u need to continue with ur agression. If u cant follow thru on a flop like this why raise the A8 to begin with? just my opinion.

The flop is reasonnably dry and I'm not getting called by worst hand against this villain, this is a value check.
