Default Sitting scheduled starters in H2H fantasy baseball

I am in a 14 team H2H yahoo league, scoring in 10 categories (W/SV/K/ERA/WHIP) for pitchers. I was wondering about your general opinion on keeping your SP who are scheduled to start on the bench so as not to risk a blow up causing your ERA/WHIP to skyrocket. I nkow this should only be done towards the end of the week when you have a good idea of where you stand, so I'll throw out my situation.

I am definitely going to have the most wins unless something crazy happens (like all 4 of his RP blow the save and get the win). Right now I am at a 1.98 ERA and .93 WHIP with 63.2 total IP. The other guy is 3.40/1.06 (53 IP). I have five more strikeouts as of now. He starts Ervin Santana tomorrow, and I can start Capuano (@NYM) and Javier Vazquez (KC). I don't think he's catching me on ERA/WHIP, but might get more Ks if I don't play my two guys. I didn't start Looper tonight at SD.

Thoughts? Pitch both and go for all 3, or play it safe and take two? I'm in first place by 4.5 games, and this matchup is against the second place guy (currently up 8-2 overall).

I think I pitch Capuano only. He's been ridiculous of late. Don't think I'd risk Vazquez.

edit; hmm...maybe not. Didn't notice he was playing the Mets. I think i sit both.

id play both Cap b/c hes good and Vazquez b/c of KC

why dont you factor how many earned runs they can give up to put you above 3.4.

I calculated that if they give up a combined 12 runs in 10 IP I'll still be below my opponent, then its a matter of what santana/relievers do. I'm playing F. Rodriguez and J. Borowski.

I think Ill go with both and gambool it up for all 3 cats.

I like just playing your closers here (though 2 seems way too few for me even in H2H).

Mets took the day off with their lineup, hope you have Capuano in there.

its not that bad 8 IP and 5 ER right now, vasquez can easily go another 2 IP to get your 10 IP and be well below the 12 ER line.
