no history, 30 hands of c/f between us.

2 pots had been over $20, and neither got to the river.

The burning question here is:

WHY ON EARTH would you raise him on the river with 8 high if he only has $16 left??? You have to be putting him on exactly 7 high... which is kinda lol since that's probably what he had

[/ QUOTE ]

He actually came to one of my other tables about an hour later and told me he had 9 high this hand.

And that he was never playing me again.

And yes, I obviously put him on complete air. Do you think I'm expecting to fold out any actual hand that got there this way?

[/ QUOTE ]
Were you expecting to fold out complete air as well, for those $16 more? If I had 9 high I would have called that extra $16 just for information and to show my donkeyness. And to win from those 7-10% of hands where 9 high wins at showdown.

So even if I knew my opponent had 9 high, I would not be raising my 8 high on the river there.

Anyone else feel like they enter a bare knuckle boxing match each time they sit at a poker table during a bad run and get your ass kicked repeatedly.

Its like each time you even look at a pot you lose 10 BB. You miss everytime and they're always already there. I'm sure we all experience this crap, just venting a bit I guess.

The worst part of a varience kick in the balls is that when you pick up AA or KK and the table of 30+/10 players insta folds around. You can't help but think that if you had AJ there would be 5 callers and a 3 bet.

Poker = Fun.

LONDON MEET-UP FOR London (Or any UK) 2p2er's

It was suggested in another thread (Living In London Thread) that we meet up for a night of some beer and self dealt games etc @ The Gutshot in London or any other poker place (The Vic?) if that didn't suit..

There was quite a few people who expressed interest in this...Basically, the 13th/14th December seemed like the ideal time for the majority ... A few said that the wednesday (12th) wouldn't suit as Arsenal are playing that day in the CHampions League...So I guess the Friday will be fine and mean a lot won't have to get up for work on the friday morning...

So Friday 14th Dec seems like the best bet -

So who is interested...

IMO, this raise on the river is complete spew and a horrible play that happend to work. So, I guess it is now a brag. Try closing your eyes and slamming the gas through a red light. When you make it through the otherside without hitting anything, you can post a brag about how good of a driver you are.
