took the morning off from work to go to Shul. My gf took me to an egalitarian service where people volunteered to do stuff like aliyahs and holding the torah. Noone wanted to do anything so the guy volunteered me to hold the torah for 2 hours.

Beat.

And the shofar playing guy was this big fat UofT kid who was absolutely terrible. It sounded like a baby farting into a plastic tube.

I heard the shofar blow last night. The regular shofar player was there. He was no Al Hirt. Beat.
