5/10 hand checkup: TT vs LAG reg
The limper is a loose passive fish. I'm going to be raising a reasonably wide range here preflop to isolate him and the SB probably knows this.

Re: 5/10 hand checkup: TT vs LAG reg
What do you think you are beating when you call the flop? AQ/AJ? After you check the turn, he should have a pretty good idea that you have a mid pair. If you had just floated, you would be betting the turn but since you check he has to assume you have a showdown hand. Also, if you had a king, he probably thinks you bet the turn as well (which you may or may not in reality). I'd venture he has QQ/JJ here and is value betting. A "bluff" with AQ/AJ seems stupid here and a smart player wouldn't attempt it much.

Re: 5/10 hand checkup: TT vs LAG reg
Well, he didn't say any special 3 betting range so I assumed a standard of AJ+/KQ/88+.
Can you give me a normal 5/10NL 3 betting range for a LAG? And give the results in a while if you can (unless you folded). |

If you are 3 betting that tight you shouldn't be 3 betting AJ, KQ probaly. I'd stay a more normal range would include many more suited connectors. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: 5/10 hand checkup: TT vs LAG reg
which are your basic adaptions when you play against a 27/22 type of player and you feel hes really 3betting you light,
do we rather 4bet back and a little lighter than we would usally, call and see more flops in position with suited cons/pp ( here i think our Implieds are low because he wont have much often enough to make it a call preflop, in position) c) just fold, say uuh and wait for jj+/AK |
