5/10 JJ - Turn
BB - Not much reads. After 50ish hands seems a bit tight/passive PF.
SB - 24/13/1.9 after 700ish hands. Don't remember playing with him before. I've been card dead but won most pots I've been in. Limit: $5/$10 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises, 5 folds, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: (6SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls. Turn: (4.5BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero looks confused. Is checking and planning to river a J too weak in here? |

Re: 5/10 JJ - Turn
Smells like a guaranteed check raise coming. If this is my hand, I am not putting in another dime. Any hand that you might have been called with beats you here, with the exception of 88s or 99s, which I would rather just check it down against them anyways.

Re: 5/10 JJ - Turn
what about a b/f?
do we really want someone with a spade or an Ace to draw out for free? |

Re: 5/10 JJ - Turn
i usually just b/f the turn, checking the river.

Re: 5/10 JJ - Turn
paired flop ... a lot a guys call with a bunch of garbage in these circumstances (ace high and smaller PP) ... 3handed, i don't think you always need to fear the flush when two guys call you on a paired board (I would be more worried about MP being to pussy to bet a Queen in this spot)
In general i bet fold here; however, SB kind of bothers me ... he looks the type to check-raise a pair of nines (on the scare card ... though, he may have check raised the flop too, so?) |

Re: 5/10 JJ - Turn
It seems like a bet-fold since giving up positional advantage is like a horse who gets headed in the stretch. You could check and call it down with an aw-shucks I know you have me beat, but why be that guy and miss all those opportunities to win hands by inducing folds.
