Default What\'s the deal with the terrible pay structure in the 11pm stars 109?

I never noticed how bizarre it was until I managed to blow a huge chiplead the other night and bust 10th

i believe the 11 is a flatter pay structure tourney and for some reason what stars seems to do is screw the ppl who get just before the final table 10-18 or whatever in order to pay the bottom people.

imo they should take a little off of each of the top if they want it flatter.

I don't know, be careful what you wish for... I personally miss the old Party payout structures that only paid top 10% and tended to be rather top-heavy. While everyone else is preoccupied with making the money, you can really push your edge as a good player.

not only that, but why is there a money bubble at 31? that makes no sense at all

I love the structure and wish there were more like them. Top heavy is the way to go.

I have to agree-ish.

Final table should get a huge chunk of the money, i'd rather have a chance to win huge then be safer and just ok win, that is what tournaments are about, the big win.

Because they are paying out 15% of the spots. If you were only playing 10%, then there would only be 30 getting anything. So everyone over the 30 mark is who got something that wouldn't have otherwise.

Blowing a chiplead and bubbling stinks, no matter what the payout structure is.

It is mostly becausr they are paying 15% that they don't give you much extra for making the second table as opposed to just cashing. They are paying more places, but they don't want to take much money away from the top prizes. I think a 10% payout structure with a decent payout for making the 2nd table makes more sense.

As pointed out, this structure is very exploitable by good players on the cash and final table bubbles.

What is really odd though is that there is a $48.00 increase from the 31-45 tier to the 19-30 tier but the next tier (10-18) is only a $41.60 increase. I do not recall smaller increases such as this being common.
