Default NL tournament against terrible players

what is the optimal strategy in MTT's against very bad players who stack off very light

in the tournys i'm playing atm, after the hour break, there is alway less than half the field still remaining, often there are only 25-30% left.

my strategy is just play pretty tight and just be mega agro with my good hands. it's just really ABC. is there any other way to exploit these players.

you basically have no FE, cannot bluff them.

if you run cold, do you just have to wait until you are almost blinded out because you will get called if you push with 10bb, so obv. need a pretty decent starting hand to continue or do you just push anyway with JT or something and hope to get lucky against some idiot who calls you with K3.

in these tournaments, do you literally have to run good to make a decent score

What's the blind & ante structure, what are the starting stacks, and how many hands are you getting per level?

I assume it's a relatively fast structure, if so it's hard to get the hands good enough to value bet vs a table full of calling stations with sometimes. SNG PT will help you (at least a little) with your ranges.

Unfortunately, if you're card dead against opponents like these, it's pretty difficult to get anything going. On the flip side when you're a card rack you'll have an easy time building your stack.
