Default Ever actually finish in first place at anything?

I'm talking something of meaning. Not the mario cart tourny you and your friends had or the donkament you entered.

Sadly, I can't think of anything outside of track and field day in the 6th grade (which falls under the meaningless category).

i won a high jump event in high school, got my name in the paper

i won my heat in a 400 relay with some very fast people, at our home stadium, the last 100 meters people were yelling my name, and screaming like mainacs....that was pretty cool

broke the 2 mile time in basic training, but someone broke it further than i did
.....and today, in art class, even though there are no rewards, its still a contest, i was told i had the best painting, which was a very proud moment

Wow I was thinking about this exact topic yesterday.

My pathetic "wins":

A Magic: the Gathering tournament of about 50 people, 14 years ago.

I had the highest AHSME + AIME (math competitions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AHSME) in the state when I was in high school.

It's been all downhill since then. I've won several live poker tournaments with 50-100 players but figure those are largely irrelevant since there's so much luck involved.

Meh, won the Science Bowl competition in the National Science Olympiad when I was in 9th and 11th grade. Yeah, I'm a nerd. Still, 1st in the country was pretty cool. Numerous state titles in Math, Academics, etc.

Got to the Nationals tournament in Ultimate Frisbee a few years back with my team. Won our section, only 2nd in Region though.

Won a karaoke contest once.

Would've won the only other one I've ever entered, but we were judged by "applause", and some drunk who couldn't sing brought a whole lot of friends with him.
