Re: Hand Against Rugby: 100/200. I\'m not telling you what I have yet
for the original hand that FWF posted... i like GP's post the most... i think the 3 bet shove is the illest.

with FWFs image shoving as a bluff is horrible

[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] turn changes a lot, but I still don't think he's bluffing very often. I think it significantly changes the range of hands he can raise for value.
For that reason I think a JQ is now definitely a call and a lone J is really close/tough. |

I'd put you on JJ, and Townsend on A2-A6 of spades.

Re: Hand Against Rugby: 100/200. I\'m not telling you what I have yet
I haven't seen the results but could someone edit the initial hand so that I can see the correct betsizes ?
Are the river betsizes correct? I don't know how Aba changes his calling range in BB on higher limits against thougher opponents but if he is playing somewhere near his cardrunners style I doubt he is calling here with a hand like As2s or 2s3s and if you raise your hand from the CO or Button I would assume he reraises pf with a hand like AsKs-AsJs, KsQs maybe even KsJs (AsTs) so that only leaves us with few combinations. If indeed the flush came in on the turn that chances the hand quite a bit. How often is he donking the flush here? You think he will try to check-raise the turn and after that fails tries it again on the river ? Would you check behind on the turn with a strong flush? Obviously not with a weakish one or do you change it up from time to time? I think he would believe you would bet a weak flush on the turn therefore you can only have a strong flush or no flush at all. I think you still need to call with QJ here because there is a slight chance he thinks you either have a monster or might fold a Jack and worse so a bluff has more expected value. You think he would try to get you off a Split Jack all that often? If so then calling a bare jack might be ok as well, otherwise I would dump it. I also think that calling a 6 isn't good anymore. I like the idea of a shove but I would much rather do that with AsX or a pure bluff than QJ. I call but wouldn't feel too good about it |

Re: Hand Against Rugby: 100/200. I\'m not telling you what I have yet
Do you think he might of turned his hand into a bluff on the river? With the As? He is very capable of making this play with the nut blocker. Your hand looks like AJ-AK or a small flush.
